Wifi Helper has no account, advertising, analytics, or cross-app tracking. This policy explains the limited information involved in its features.
Information stored on your iPhone
Wifi Helper stores Quick Check history, named survey locations, comparison results, and preferences inside the app’s local container. This information stays on the device unless you independently include it in a support message. You can clear saved measurements in Settings, and uninstalling the app removes its local container.
Connection measurement requests
When you run a check, Wifi Helper sends a small number of HTTPS GET requests to the Wifi Helper probe endpoint. The requests contain no account identifier, advertising identifier, SSID, BSSID, geographic coordinates, survey name, measurement history, or imported file content. Like any Internet request, the hosting infrastructure necessarily receives the public IP address, request time, and ordinary TLS/HTTP metadata needed to deliver and secure the response.
The probe returns an empty response and the application does not write request information to a developer-operated database, use it for advertising, build user profiles, or attempt to link it to a person. Cloudflare may process limited operational or security logs under its own retention and security practices. Wifi Helper configures its measurement session not to store or return response cookies.
Wi-Fi name and location permission
If you choose to show the current Wi-Fi network name, iOS may require When In Use location authorization and the Access WiFi Information entitlement. Wifi Helper uses that authorization only to ask iOS for the current SSID/BSSID. It does not start geographic location updates, save coordinates, or send the network name to the probe.
Imported CSV files
Channel Advisor analyzes the CSV you explicitly select from Files entirely on the device. The app does not upload, retain a second copy of, or share the imported file.
Purchases
Apple processes purchases through StoreKit and the App Store. Wifi Helper receives StoreKit product and signed transaction information needed to display the localized offer and determine whether Premium is unlocked. The developer does not receive your payment-card details.
Support correspondence
If you email support, the message and contact information you choose to provide are used to answer the request and maintain a reasonable support record. Do not send passwords, full payment information, or unnecessary sensitive data.
Children, transfers, and changes
Wifi Helper is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children. Service providers may process technical requests in other countries with appropriate safeguards. Material policy changes will be posted here with a revised effective date.
