Quick Check
Quick Check compares the current connection path using a few small HTTPS response-time requests. It is not a radio-frequency meter or guaranteed Internet speed test. Router load, the ISP, cellular fallback, captive portals, and temporary Internet conditions can affect a result.
For a useful comparison, keep the phone orientation similar, wait for the network to settle, and run checks at the same time of day in each candidate location.
Wi-Fi network name
Wifi Helper asks for location permission only when you choose to show the current Wi-Fi network name, because iOS protects SSID access behind that permission. The app does not request or save geographic coordinates. If the name remains unavailable, check Location Services for Wifi Helper and confirm the phone is connected to Wi-Fi.
Channel Advisor files
iPhone apps cannot enumerate every nearby Wi-Fi network through a general-purpose public API. Channel Advisor therefore analyzes only a compatible CSV you explicitly select from Files. It expects columns for SSID, BSS or BSSID, RSSI, Channel, and time. Export options vary between scanner utilities and versions.
Premium purchase and restore
Premium is one non-consumable purchase—there is no subscription. The App Store controls the localized price, payment, refund, and entitlement. If you already purchased Premium, open Wifi Helper → Settings → Restore Purchases while signed into the same Apple Account.
If Apple reports a completed purchase but Premium remains locked, restart the app, confirm Internet access, then try Restore Purchases. For billing or refund requests, use Apple’s purchase support.
Delete local data
Open Settings in Wifi Helper and choose Clear Saved Measurements. Removing the app also removes its locally stored connection history and survey data.
